Welcome to “Inclusion in Practice: From Theory to Youth Work Reality”

Inclusion in Practice: From Theory to Youth Work Reality is a training course that equips youth workers and group leaders with practical tools, methods, and confidence to apply inclusion and diversity principles in real youth work settings.

Objectives of the training course

• Strengthen youth workers’ understanding of inclusion and diversity within the Erasmus+ framework.

• Help participants recognise visible and invisible barriers affecting young people with fewer opportunities.

• Develop practical skills to create safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environments.

• Encourage critical reflection on unconscious bias, stereotypes, and their impact on youth work.

• Support participants in designing and adapting inclusive non-formal education activities for their local contexts.

How we will achieve this

We will work through non-formal learning, peer exchange, and hands-on practice by combining:

• Workshops on inclusion, diversity, barriers to participation, and Erasmus+ inclusion priorities,

• Practical tools for outreach, trust-building, communication, and adapting activities,

• Group work, reflection activities, and sharing of good practices among youth workers,

• Special attention to health-related obstacles, disabilities, rural isolation, cultural differences, and discrimination.

Who is this for?

We are looking for youth workers / group leaders who:

• Are 18+, have good English, and can actively participate in all sessions,

• Are directly involved in the work of a youth organization or regular youth activities,

• Have interest or experience in inclusion, diversity, and non-formal learning,

• Are motivated to share the learning with their organization and local community after returning.

Practical information

📍 Venue: Samobor, Croatia

🗓️ Dates (including travel days): 10-18 June 2026

🏠 Accommodation & food: Provided during the training course.

✈️ Travel reimbursement: Travel costs are reimbursed after the course up to the country limit (Türkiye: 309€ / Green travel: 417€).

🌿 Green travel note: This applies only if you travel exclusively by sustainable transport (e.g., trains/buses) - not by airplane.
